Yes, just because you're scrapbooking on a budget doesn't mean that your scrapbook will be less attractive and will surely be more individualistic.
I must be the first to admit that there are some absolutely fabulous scrapbooking embellishments for sale. BUT I often think that you need a big fat wallet to make an album loud. BUT THIS IS JUST NOT TRUE!
If you have not had any experience of art then you may need to do some practice to get the right techniques, but that is all the fun of creating a piece will be proud of.
Here I'm focusing on the background page. It can be and often is, a fancy paper where you use photos, borders and embellishments to brighten up the page. But I will tell you a few tips that you can use the plain colored paper that is much cheaper than the patterned paper.
First of all, you can buy large sheets of colored paper thick but make sure that cutting them for the right size to fit your folder. And if you're on a budget you can use a ring binder for your work rather than buying an album scrapbooking.
LET ME GIVE YOU SOME TIPS: SCRAPBOOKING
1. Sponging-the best is a sea sponge. The high-relief technique can create many different effects. Using different colors or shades of the same color that you can create very interesting work. Using the sponge in different ways, that it is possible to create swirls, circles, lines and borders-have a try before you go on your card. This is really a fantastic technique that will be able to use in many different ways and for many different things.
2. Lines-lines can be done on your background with markers. Make sure that they are acid free. Rule in your lines slightly with a pencil and then rule in colored lines. This may be what you like or as few.
3. Creating borders-create a drop down one side of the page or even right around. Various methods may be used. You can use paint, colored paper or fancy equipment or even a row of embellishments, for example, a row of hearts.
4. Stamping-if you have a stamp, or your friends, you can have a template on the background of stamps and paint it in and out with a dimensional paint. Leaves, flowers, animals all look good and can be stained different colors to suit.
5. Glittering-this is a fairly technical. Great for parties, engagements, weddings and the like. May glitter stamp shapes, borders and more.
Don't be afraid to try different ideas with the tools you have at home for example zero above a surface with sandpaper. Watch out for drawings in books and visit the shops for scrapbooking ideas. Some of the ideas that you see can be done differently but quite cheap with products that you already have at home.
